Yemen International Agency for Development Participates in World Literacy Day in Marib and Honors Literacy Workers

The Yemen International Agency for Development (YIAD) took part in the World Literacy Day celebrations in Marib Governorate, in partnership with the Literacy and Adult Education Office. This event was part of efforts to raise awareness about the importance of literacy and ensure the right to education for all.

In his speech during the event, Dr. Abdulsalam Al-Salami, Executive Director of YIAD, emphasized the need to strengthen efforts to ensure the right to education for every individual. He noted that education is the foundation for building a just and sustainable society and praised the efforts of the literacy workers and teachers, acknowledging their significant role in spreading knowledge and awareness in the governorate.

Dr. Al-Salami also expressed his gratitude to all the parties involved in supporting these initiatives, which contribute to empowering individuals with essential literacy skills for their personal development and sustainable progress.

At the end of the ceremony, outstanding literacy workers were honored for their great efforts in promoting education and awareness. The ceremony was attended by officials and the public, reflecting the community’s appreciation for these vital efforts.
