The Yemen International Agency for Development concluded the “Partners for Yemen 2025 Conference” on Sunday, August 10, 2025, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The event was organized in partnership with the International Islamic Charitable Organization – Kuwait, Insan Foundation – Malaysia, Qudwa Foundation – Indonesia, the Orphan Care Union, MyCARE, and MAHAR. Official representation was present from the Yemeni Ministry of Education, along with the embassies of Yemen, Kuwait, and Somalia in Malaysia, in addition to distinguished representatives from regional and international humanitarian organizations.
The conference thoroughly discussed the current state of education in Yemen and the emergency response plan addressing challenges faced by the education system. Key topics included supporting teachers, rebuilding destroyed schools, and adopting digital solutions to keep pace with modern developments. Participants also highlighted successful international humanitarian initiatives and shared practical models in education support, fostering valuable knowledge exchange and broadening cooperation opportunities.
The conference concluded with significant recommendations, including recognizing education as a national priority requiring collective efforts, establishing a multi-donor international fund to finance educational projects, supporting vulnerable groups, especially girls, strengthening digital infrastructure, and expanding international partnerships to ensure sustainability in humanitarian and development work.
During the closing ceremony, partner organizations were honored, and the humanitarian role of Malaysia and Southeast Asian countries in supporting the Yemeni people was commended, particularly their contributions to education, development, and humanitarian relief.
Through this achievement, the Yemen International Agency for Development reaffirmed its commitment to working with international and regional partners to enhance educational opportunities in Yemen, considering education as the cornerstone of human development and a key driver for sustainable progress.
