Yemen International Agency for Development is participating in the Digital Partnerships for Sustainable Financing Workshop, held in Istanbul from July 1 to July 3, 2024. This workshop is part of the “Solidarity” program funded by the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), the Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development (ISFD), and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The “Solidarity” program aims to enhance livelihoods for hard-to-reach communities, empower civil society organizations in the Islamic world, and promote sustainable development and partnerships among member countries of the bank.

Yemen International Agency for Development – Turkey has concluded the First Scientific Forum for Talented Students, with participation from leading scientists, academics, and both international and local institutions. The forum also featured a graduation ceremony for the first cohort of students from the Talent Development Program at the Master’s level.

During the Eid holidays, the Yemen International Agency for Development– Yemen distributed sacrifices to needy families. This project embodies the spirit of solidarity and giving, reflecting the profound humanitarian spirit of the agency. The efforts aim to bring joy and comfort to the hearts of the needy during the festive period, contributing to social solidarity and strengthening community bonds among Yemen’s population.

Funded by the Iktifa Endowment, the Yemen International Agency for Development – Yemen has implemented a small and microbusiness support project. This initiative is part of the agency’s economic empowerment efforts aimed at achieving sustainable development goals.

The President of the Yemen International Agency for Development – Turkey, welcomed Mr. Abdullah Salem Abeh, the Executive Director of the Aoun Relief and Development Coalition – Yemen. The discussion focused on the educational and economic challenges in Yemen, with an emphasis on joint cooperation to improve the quality of education and community empowerment to achieve effective results.

As part of its ongoing efforts to support education, the Yemen International Agency for Development has commenced the construction of Owais Al-Qarni School in Marib Governorate. The project has successfully completed the first phase, which included excavation and foundation work.

The agency aims through this project to support students and provide a comprehensive educational environment to ensure the continuity of the educational process in the governorate.

A delegation from the Polish Humanitarian Action (PAH) visited the headquarters of the Yemen International Agency for Development in Yemen. The delegation included Program Manager Mr. Klints, Operations Manager Mr. Abdel Qader, Engineer Amr, and Human Resources Manager. They were received by the Deputy Director of the Agency, Dr. Jamal Qahtan, along with department managers.

During the visit, the delegation toured the agency’s departments and met its staff. They were briefed on the various projects the agency has implemented in Yemen over the past period. Discussions focused on potential future partnerships between the two organizations. The delegation expressed their admiration for the agency’s diverse projects and readiness to implement joint programs.

The Gifted Talents Center, part of the Yemen International Agency for Development, has concluded its Community Leadership Empowerment Program, which lasted for three days. The program aimed to enhance the leadership skills of participants and develop their core competencies for effective community involvement.

The program began with a training session on effective communication skills led by Trainer Yasser Al-Sayed Omar. On the second day, Strategic Expert Engineer Shahab Al-Ariqi conducted a workshop titled “Essential Management Skills.” Al-Ariqi continued on the third day with a course on “Modern Management Skills.”

The program saw participation from student union leaders, reading club presidents, and youth initiative heads.

Yemen International Agency for Development has joined the United Nations and humanitarian organizations in responding to the urgent appeal to provide assistance to 18.2 million people in Yemen, who are facing worsening humanitarian conditions after nine years of conflict. The agency remains committed to alleviating the suffering of Yemenis by continuing to implement a range of sustainable humanitarian projects that contribute to improving the living conditions of the Yemeni community.

Funded by the International Islamic Charitable Organization, implemented by the Ata’a Relief and Development Association, and supervised by Dr. Jassem Al-Mutawa, the Yemen International Agency for Development participated in the training program “Steps Towards Excellence.” Represented by the Executive Director of the Center for Talents Training and Initiatives, Mr. Saleh Hizam, and the Financial Accountant, Mr. Ali Al-Faqih, the program was held in Istanbul from April 20 to May 3, 2024.
