Opening of Pearl of the Sea School

Under the supervision of the World Islamic Charitable Organization in Kuwait and with generous funding from the heirs of the Luluat Ahmed Albahar , the Yemen International Agency for Development inaugurated the Pearl of the Sea School in the governorate of Abyan.

This initiative is part of a continuous commitment to enhance the educational infrastructure and provide a stimulating learning environment for students. The school aims to deliver high-quality education and provide unique learning opportunities for the youth in the Abyan governorate.

Researcher Ahmed Abu Salem has successfully obtained a Master’s degree

On Tuesday, the 12th of December 2023, the defense of the Master’s thesis titled “Political Reconciliation Between Muslims In Islamic Jurisprudence A Fundamental Study” took place at Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University. The thesis was presented by the researcher Ahmed Abu Salem.
After an extensive discussion, the prominent aspects of the thesis were highlighted, where the researcher provided a detailed analysis from a FIQH perspective. At the end of the session, the examination committee unanimously decided to approve the thesis, emphasizing the quality and significance of the research presented by the researcher.
It is worth mentioning that the researcher is one of the students in the Mawhubin Program for master’s student at Yemen International Agency for Development, funded by the International Islamic Charity Organization – Kuwait.

Al-Burhan team wins third place in the Asdaa Debate Championship and the title of best speaker in the tournament

Within the framework of the participation and successes presented by the students of the Yemeni International Development Agency – Turkey, Al-Burhan team of the Gifted Welfare Program participated in the fifth debate tournament in Turkey, “Asdaa,” which was held by the Yemeni Students Union – Istanbul in cooperation with the Yemen Debate Network, which included several Arab and Turkish teams.
The team consisting of participants Ali Al-Faqih, Ahmed Abu Salem, and Amr Al-Sakhini won third place in the tournament after reaching the semi-finals in the tournament, which reflects the dedication shown by the team during the tournament.
Contestant Ahmed Abu Salem also won the title of best speaker in the tournament as a result of his excellence in performance and effective contribution to achieving the team’s collective success.
It is noteworthy that the team members are part of the program for sponsoring gifted students at the postgraduate level at the Yemeni International Development Agency – Turkey, which is funded by the International Islamic Charitable Organization – State of Kuwait.

The Yemeni International Development Agency launches the school bag and uniform distribution project for the year 2023-2024

Mr. Abdulwase Shadad, the Director of the Education Office, inaugurated the school bag and uniform distribution project at the Al-Hakimi Martyrs School in Taiz Governorate. This project is funded by the International Islamic Charitable Organization of Kuwait and implemented by the Yemeni International Development Agency. It aims to assist 106 orphaned students in the secondary stage in the city’s districts.

During the inauguration, Mr. Abdulwase Shadad emphasized the importance of such projects in supporting the education sector and encouraging students to continue their education while overcoming the obstacles they face. This is achieved by providing them with school bags and uniforms. He noted that projects like this have a significant impact on enhancing the motivation of students, especially orphans, to continue their learning.

On the other hand, Mr. Mohammed Nasser, the representative of the Yemeni International Development Agency, mentioned that this initiative is part of the agency’s educational interventions for the year 2023. The project aims to support and motivate orphans in the secondary stage for the current academic year.

It’s worth mentioning that the project includes the distribution of comprehensive school bags, school uniforms, and coverage of educational fees. Additionally, it involves the implementation of various specialized educational activities and programs to enhance the skills of orphans and motivate them to continue their educational journey.

The inauguration was attended by Mrs. Samiha Abu Al-Surur, the director of Al-Hakimi Martyrs School, and several teachers.

Researcher Mahmoud Aqlan presented a research paper titled “Economic Development and Ways to Achieve Social Welfare” as part of the activities of the Eighth International Middle East Conference, organized by Gelişim Üniversitesi in collaboration with the Al-Makha Center for Strategic Studies and other research and academic institutions. The conference took place over two days on October 24-25, 2023.

It’s worth mentioning that the researcher is one of the talented students in the postgraduate program of the Yemeni International Development Agency in Turkey, funded by the International Islamic Charitable Organization in Kuwait.

With funding from the International Islamic Charitable Organization, the Yemeni International Development Agency opens the Samia Girls’ School in Al-Jufayna (School of Wadhah Ahmed Al-Bahr, may she rest in peace)

The Yemen International Development Agency, in collaboration with the International Islamic Charitable Organization, inaugurated the Samia Girls’ School in the Al-Jufayna area of Marib Province. This initiative is part of their efforts to support the educational process and alleviate the suffering of displaced persons in the province.

The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Bakri, Deputy Director of Education in Marib, Mr. Abdullah Shaddad, Project Director at the Education Office, Mr. Mohammad Marsh, Director of Education in the City Directorate, and Mr. Ali Matir, Head of the Education Sector at the Executive Unit.

Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Bakri considered this project to be a valuable addition to the educational process for girls, especially given the overcrowding in government schools due to the increased number of displaced individuals in the region. He expressed his gratitude to the International Islamic Charitable Organization and the Yemen International Development Agency for their contributions to such projects that enhance the quality and level of education.

During the opening ceremony, Dr. Jamal Qahtan, Deputy Executive Director of the Agency in Yemen, emphasized the Agency’s commitment to implementing projects that contribute to significant improvements in the education sector and its services.

It’s worth noting that the school consists of five classrooms, an administrative office, two restrooms, and is fully furnished. It can accommodate up to 400 students in two shifts.

This project is part of the Yemen International Development Agency’s educational interventions for the year 2023, where the Agency has implemented several schools in various Yemeni provinces.
