“Yesterday, a delegation from the Yemeni International Development Agency visited the earthquake-affected areas in southern Turkey, led by Dr. Abdulraqib Abad, the agency’s president, and Mr. Waeam Al-Hadini, the agency’s general manager. The delegation was briefed on the efforts of the agency’s field team, led by Mr. Zakaria Shalan, the director of the Turkey office, in the Adiyaman and Diyarbakir provinces for more than ten consecutive days. The delegation also met with several Turkish official authorities, religious affairs representatives, and civil society institutions to coordinate and explore sustainable collaboration methods to alleviate the suffering of those affected by the earthquake.”
The Yemeni International Development Agency, the Yemen office, and the Communication Foundation for Human Development signed a memorandum of understanding for the construction project of Al-Aqili School, funded by the Al-Aqili family endowment and supervised by Al-Rahma International Society in the State of Kuwait. The President of the Yemeni International Development Agency, Dr. Abdul-Raqeeb Abbad, received His Excellency the Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen, Major General Muhammad Salih Tariq, at the Agency’s headquarters in Istanbul. The ambassador praised the great and proactive efforts exerted by the agency through various development projects. The two sides also discussed the importance of strengthening coordination between Yemeni institutions and organizations, and working to unify efforts to support those affected by the earthquake that struck southern Turkey. The meeting was attended by Mr. Weam Al-Din Al-Hudaini, Director General of the Agency, and Mr. Talal Jamil, the media attache of the Yemeni Embassy in Ankara.
“With the supervision of the Charitable Development Association in Kuwait and funding from the heirs of Abdulrahman Mohammed Al-Judaimi, may he rest in peace, the Yemeni International Development Agency inaugurated the Abdulrahman Al-Judaimi School for Displaced Students in the Sky neighborhood of Marib – Al-Meel area, Marib Governorate. The inauguration was held under the patronage of the Deputy Minister of Education and Director of the Education Office in the governorate.
During the opening ceremony, the education official at the Executive Unit for Displaced Persons in Marib, Ali Matir, noted that the school would work to reintegrate hundreds of displaced students, both boys and girls, who dropped out of school due to the lack of a school in the neighborhood.
Mrs. Beirut Al-Muflahi, the coordinator of the Education Cluster at OCHA (Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs), praised the role of the agency in implementing this project, which she considers a success story in all its dimensions, especially given the current circumstances.
It’s worth mentioning that the school consists of 4 classrooms, an administrative room, and two restrooms. The school aims to serve up to 400 students in both morning and evening shifts.
The opening ceremony was attended by Mrs. Beirut Al-Muflahi, the coordinator of the Education Cluster in Marib and Al-Jawf governorates, Mr. Ali Matir, the education official at the Executive Unit for Displaced Persons in Marib, Dr. Jamal Qahtan, the Director of Programs and Projects at the agency, and a large number of parents, guardians, and community leaders.
This project is part of the activities and projects of the Yemeni International Development Agency and its interventions in the field of education across Yemen, aiming to support access to education for all displaced and war-affected individuals.”
The Yemeni International Agency for Development – Turkey is launching the “Tamkeen Project”, which is an integrated course for the rehabilitation of young men and women by providing an advanced qualification program, starting with the English language, with the aim of obtaining a certificate (TOEFL) or (IELTS) and leading to professional and administrative skills needed by the labor market, with the support of the Commission. International Islamic Charity, in cooperation with the English Castle Institute.
Conditions for joining the program grant:
The applicant must have a high school diploma or its equivalent, with a minimum average of 80%.
The age of the applicant should not exceed 40 years.
The applicant for the scholarship must be fully dedicated to studying the intensive program.
The applicant undertakes to complete the study program until its end.
The applicant for the program should submit a financial guarantee at the rate of 20% of the scholarship seat fees that will be returned to him at the end of the program, or a solidarity guarantee from a sponsor accepted by the agency.
After being accepted, the applicant is required to sign a contract with the agency.
The applicant must pass the personal interview successfully.

“The Yemeni International Development Agency – Turkey announces the launch of the ‘Hassan Educational Loan’ project. This project aims effectively to create a conducive environment for Yemeni scientific competencies outside their country, through interest-free loans. These loans contribute to meeting the students’ needs by covering university fees and facilitating the repayment process with easy installments, which will positively impact the academic achievement of the students.
Conditions for the educational loan:
The student must be of Yemeni nationality.
The student must be enrolled in one of the Turkish universities or have provisional acceptance.
The student must be capable of repayment.
The student must be a resident in Turkey.
The student must provide two endorsements from reputable individuals or institutions.
The student must provide commercial guarantee or solidarity guarantee.

“Today in Marib, an agreement for partnership and cooperation was signed between the Yemeni International Development Agency and the Education Office in the governorate. The agreement outlines the implementation of an alternative school in the Sky neighborhood of Marib, in the Al-Kasara area, consisting of five classrooms along with accompanying facilities, furnished and equipped with all educational necessities.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Ali Al-Abab, Deputy Minister of Education and Director of the Education Office in the governorate, and the Executive Director of the Yemeni International Development Agency, Dr. Abdul Salam Mohammed Al-Salami. The signing ceremony was attended by Eng. Abdullah Al-Aqeeli, Director of the Public Works Office, Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Bakri, Deputy Director of the Education Office, Mr. Abdullah Shaddad, Project Management Director, and Mr. Yaser Al-Haidari, Organizations Coordinator from the office. On behalf of the agency, Dr. Jamal Qahtan, Project Director, and Dr. Abdullah Al-Jouri, Director of Alliances and Partnerships, were also present.
This project is one of the developmental initiatives carried out by the Yemeni International Development Agency to contribute to improving the educational process in displacement camps hosting thousands of internally displaced persons outside Marib governorate. It aims to create a suitable environment for displaced children, enabling them to continue their education at the primary level according to the standards and supervision of the Ministry of Education.”
