The Yemen International Agency for Development (YIAD) took part in the World Literacy Day celebrations in Marib Governorate, in partnership with the Literacy and Adult Education Office. This event was part of efforts to raise awareness about the importance of literacy and ensure the right to education for all.

In his speech during the event, Dr. Abdulsalam Al-Salami, Executive Director of YIAD, emphasized the need to strengthen efforts to ensure the right to education for every individual. He noted that education is the foundation for building a just and sustainable society and praised the efforts of the literacy workers and teachers, acknowledging their significant role in spreading knowledge and awareness in the governorate.

Dr. Al-Salami also expressed his gratitude to all the parties involved in supporting these initiatives, which contribute to empowering individuals with essential literacy skills for their personal development and sustainable progress.

At the end of the ceremony, outstanding literacy workers were honored for their great efforts in promoting education and awareness. The ceremony was attended by officials and the public, reflecting the community’s appreciation for these vital efforts.

As part of efforts to enhance cooperation among civil society organizations, Mr. Saleh Hazam, the Executive Director of the Gifted Care Center, participated in the morning forum organized by the Union of NGOs of the Islamic World (İDSB) and the Turkish Volunteer Organizations Foundation (TGTV), held yesterday.

The forum featured an exchange of ideas and discussions on recommendations for the upcoming International Exhibition for NGOs, scheduled to take place from November 20 to 22 in Istanbul. This exhibition is expected to bring together more than 200 NGOs from around the world, providing a valuable opportunity for collaboration and the sharing of experiences among these organizations, and promoting civil society work in various fields.

This event is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen ties among global civil society organizations and to develop effective strategies for supporting communities and achieving sustainable development.
