“The International Yemen Development Agency Conference brings together major alliances and companies to chart a better future for Yemen

“The International Yemen Development Agency Conference, held under the theme ‘Alliances and Companies for a Better Yemen,’ concluded its proceedings with the participation of over 30 international organizations and elite figures in the fields of charitable, relief, and developmental work. The conference spanned two days from November 15 to 16, 2019, featuring three keynote presentations and six specialized workshops, including six interactive sessions.

The broad participation in the conference reaffirmed the international community’s commitment to supporting the Yemeni people in the face of immense humanitarian and economic challenges confronting the country. Participants represented various nationalities from different countries, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Yemen, Kuwait, Turkey, Malaysia, France, and Indonesia.

Key highlights of the conference included the presentation of three major research papers addressing critical development issues, along with the organization of six specialized workshops covering a wide range of topics, including education, health, improving living conditions, and promoting sustainability.

The conference spotlighted common goals and opportunities for collaboration between governments, charitable organizations, and the private sector to achieve tangible progress in development areas in Yemen. Participants were encouraged to establish effective alliances and strategic partnerships to address complex challenges and urgent humanitarian needs.

This conference marks a significant step toward enhancing international cooperation and integrating efforts to achieve sustainable development goals in Yemen, amidst the substantial challenges facing the region.”

The Wafa Charitable Camp for People with Special Needs in Ma’rib Governorate


“The President of the Yemeni International Development Agency, Dr. Mujahid, attended the opening of the Wafa Charitable Camp for People with Special Needs in Ma’rib Governorate. The camp was funded by the Reform Society in Bahrain and implemented by the Hope Charity Association, under the supervision and coordination of the Yemeni International Agency. The opening ceremony was attended by the Deputy Governor, Sheikh Abdullah Al-Bakri, and several local authority leaders.

Dr. Mujahid explained that the camp includes several housing units equipped with various services such as electricity, water, and air conditioning. Dozens of families with special needs are benefiting from these accommodations.”

The visit of the President of the Yemeni International Development Agency to Hadramout Governorate

“Dr. Mujahid Marjan, the President of the Yemeni International Development Agency, visited Hadramout Governorate and, during the visit, met with several local leaders, including the Deputy Governor for the directorates of Wadi Hadramout and Al-Sahra, Mr. Issam Al-Kathiri. The Yemeni International Development Agency played a significant role in these engagements.”
