As part of its ongoing efforts to support education, the Yemen International Agency for Development is continuing the construction of Owais Al-Qarni School in Marib Governorate. The project has made significant progress, reaching the second phase of construction. Through this initiative, the agency aims to support students and provide a comprehensive educational environment to ensure the continuity of the educational process in the governorate.

The agency emphasizes that this project reflects its commitment to providing necessary support to the education sector in Yemen, particularly in areas facing a shortage of educational services. The Gifted Talent Center, part of Yemen International Agency for Development in Turkey, has concluded its Employment Skills Program in partnership with Enogar. The program, which lasted for 3 days with a total of 12 training hours, aimed to equip participants with the essential skills needed to excel in the job search process. The training focused on enhancing participants’ abilities in resume writing, personal interviews, and job search strategies, with the goal of supporting them in entering the job market with success and confidence.

Funded by the Global Mercy Association, Yemen International Agency for Development has implemented a project to distribute solar energy systems to 100 homes in Yemen. This initiative is part of the agency’s efforts to enhance economic empowerment and improve the quality of life for targeted families, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals. These systems contribute to providing clean and sustainable energy, alleviating the economic burden on families, and improving living conditions amidst the economic and environmental challenges facing Yemen.

Yemen International Agency for Development has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Sustainability Foundation to enhance capacity development. The agreement was signed by Mr. Rushdi Bamsood, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Sustainability Foundation, and Mr. Zakaria Shaalan, Executive Director of the Yemeni International Development Agency in Turkey, alongside Dr. Abdulsalam Al-Salami, Executive Director of the agency in Yemen. This agreement is part of the agency’s strategy to expand its operations both internally and externally by strengthening partnerships with local and international organizations, aimed at supporting development and economic empowerment programs.

The Gifted Talent Center, part ofYemen International Agency for Development in Turkey, has concluded a three-day training program on financial and technical non-profit project management in partnership with the Sustainability Foundation. The program, which included 15 hours of training, aimed to equip participants with the skills needed to manage non-profit projects effectively from both financial and technical perspectives.

Yemen International Agency for Development is participating in the Digital Partnerships for Sustainable Financing Workshop, held in Istanbul from July 1 to July 3, 2024. This workshop is part of the “Solidarity” program funded by the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), the Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development (ISFD), and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The “Solidarity” program aims to enhance livelihoods for hard-to-reach communities, empower civil society organizations in the Islamic world, and promote sustainable development and partnerships among member countries of the bank.

Yemen International Agency for Development – Turkey has concluded the First Scientific Forum for Talented Students, with participation from leading scientists, academics, and both international and local institutions. The forum also featured a graduation ceremony for the first cohort of students from the Talent Development Program at the Master’s level.
